Test Proctoring

MISSION STATEMENT

Honoring the vision and legacy of its founder, the Mark Twain Library offers the Redding Community a center for intellectual, educational, social, and cultural enrichment, providing a wide variety of materials, resources, and programs for all ages.

The Mark Twain Library offers test-proctoring services to the public for a fee of $25 per test. Proctoring services are by appointment only; a minimum of 24 hours notice is required.

Proctoring is subject to the availability of authorized staff and will be undertaken provided the conditions set by the school can be met without undue disruptions to the library’s normal functions. As exams are proctored in a public area of the library, quiet and privacy cannot be guaranteed.

Proctoring is only done during regular library hours. Exams must be completed 15 minutes before closing. The library is not responsible for the conduct of the person taking the exam.

Exams can be timed and students can be checked on periodically but the library will not proctor exams that require the proctor to sit with the student during the exam. The library will not pay any fees, such as postage or copying.

Students must present a valid picture I.D. before taking the exam. Students must have a valid Mark Twain Library card, with no overdue items, fines or fees on their account. Students must come prepared with the necessary or required supplies to take the exam.
