Library Furnace Update

Dear Neighbors,

On January 2nd, the year 2018 started with a bang that was our boiler exploding. This immediately plunged our library into a deep freeze during the coldest weather on record. Amidst frigid conditions the board and staff engaged in protecting the building and collections, and we immediately began working toward replacing our boiler as quickly as possible. We also turned off all water and plumbing to assure the building’s safety. It was a double whammy which meant we needed to stay closed. No heat and no water.

We are happy to report that a new boiler is in the process of being installed and we are hopeful that all will go well in terms of bringing heat back to the building.

We will announce on our website, Facebook page and via email the date of our grand opening as soon as we possibly can. It promises to be a very warm celebration.

In the meantime, please hold onto all your materials. We will be forgiving all fines. And don’t forget you can still use our downloadable resources.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this very unfortunate situation.
