Mark Twain Library patrons may reserve museum passes online through our reservation system (Tixkeeper). Choose the pass and preferred date and complete the request as instructed. You will need your library card number to place your reservation.

The Library loans passes for free or reduced admission to a number of Connecticut cultural institutions and area attractions.

  • Passes are loaned for three days and cannot be renewed.
  • Reservations cannot be placed if your library card has expired, has over $10 in fines, or is otherwise blocked.
  • Passes may be reserved for a specific date up to one month in advance.
  • They must be returned to the library by the date they are due.

What is the loan period?
The loan period per pass is three days, which includes the day you pick it up at the library.

What happens if I pick a pass up late?
Your loan period will be shortened by one day or two if you pick the pass up on the second or third day of your reservation. 

How do I return the pass?
We recommend bringing the pass back during open hours. Please remember that if you place it in the book drop you are responsible for the pass until it is checked back in.

May passes be reserved in advance?
Passes may be reserved up to 30 days in advance

How often may I borrow a pass?
A pass for a specific institution may be borrowed only once in thirty days, but you can borrow as many different passes as you would like within a thirty day period. Please note that only one pass can be borrowed at a time.

Who can borrow a pass?
Passes can be borrowed by adult patrons only.

May I reserve a pass by phoning?
Yes, staff will gladly make your reservation in TixKeeper if you do not have access to a computer or need assistance. All reservations must, however, be done through the system.
