Today’s kids are facing a new, more inclusive, world. Learn how to effectively communicate and build stronger bridges across generations.

By popular demand of Redding Middle Schoolers (who actually requested this program for their parents), the Library is hosting a virtual panel discussion during Pride Month designed to inform and educate parents about modern terms and lingo, along with special issues facing Generation Z.

Be part of the discussion.

The program will be hosted via Zoom.  Registered participants will receive an invitation on the day of the program. Include your cell phone number on the registration form and receive one text reminder, approximately 30 minutes before the program begins. 

Panelists:

Christine BisceglieA guidance school counselor at the Academy of Information Technology & Engineering (AITE) an inter-district magnet school in Stamford. Christine holds a master’s in School & Community Counseling and a master’s degree in Library Science. She is also a CT licensed Substance Abuse counselor. Christine has been recognized for her work for in LGBTQ education for the school and in the greater Stamford community. 

Emily Segal — Director of Adolescent Behavioral Health, Family Centers School Based Health Centers at Stamford High School. Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Riley  — A Redding resident and a senior at AITE in Stamford. Riley will provide insight from a student’s perspective.

Erin & Kris — Emily’s mom and dad and also Redding residents. Erin & Kris will provide insight from the parents’ perspective.

Abby — A senior at AITE in Stamford. Abby will provide insight from a student’s perspective.
