Register Below. In this introductory class on memoir, Lee Bodkin will offer insights on the transformative power of writing as well as some basic craft concepts to get you writing. Come prepared to engage in the process as we dive into a New York Times Modern Love piece and examine elements of craft including detail and image, scene and dialogue, a sense of place and time, and character development. 

Whether you have a story that is itching to be told or are simply curious about this genre, come with your pencil sharpened and mind open.

Lee Bodkin received her MFA in Creative Writing from the Stonecoast MFA Program in Maine. She has written a pedagogical paper on Writing to Heal and teaches creative writing to women in recovery. Lee is a seasoned communications professional and currently works as a communications director for a Connecticut nonprofit.
