How to Apply to College with Priyanka Shingala (ZOOM Program)

Wednesday, October 18

7:30 pm

Please register below to receive a Zoom meeting invitation the day of the program. Let's face it, the college application process can sound complicated even on a good day! In this program, Priyanka Shingala of Let's Talk College, LLC will provide an updated overview of the process, and cover the exact steps you should take to stay on track, and even get ahead. This program is geared toward current 9th-11th graders and their parents.
 Topics include, but are not limited, to:
    • With universities going test-optional, should you take the SAT or ACT?
    • College Tours: What should you look for and what questions should you ask?
    • Personal statements/supplemental essays/interviews;
    • Getting a head start on the admissions process;
    • A breakdown of priorities and a timeline of 9-12th grades; and
    • Helpful resources to guide you through the process.
Priyanka has been working in the test prep industry for almost 10 years and started her own business Let’s Talk College, LLC in 2018. Her ultimate goal is to empower families to make informed decisions about their own testing and college application process.  Program contact: Sarah Zimmermann (sarah@marktwainlibrary.org), Teen and Reference Librarian
