Welcome Spring Open House: Getting to Know Redding

Welcome Spring Open House: Getting to Know Redding

Thursday, March 21

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Learn more about our lovely town, its rich history and its welcoming community during a Welcome Spring Open House co-sponsored with Redding Neighbors & Newcomers. Drop into the Library starting at 6:30 pm, enjoy light refreshments and talk with members of RN&N to learn more about its mission to connect residents of all ages with a range of activities and clubs.  At 7 pm, we'll hear from Redding's Co-Historians Brent Colley and Bruce Nelson, who will answer trivia questions about town history. Do you have a question about Redding's history? Submit a question here for the chance to have it asked LIVE by the Town Historians!   During the Open House, browse around the Library's reading room, where RN&N board members and club leaders will share information about its many clubs and activities, including:
  • Book Club
  • Movies with Friends
  • Guys Night Out Poker
  • Coffee Hour
  • Children's Playgroup
  • Ladies Night Out
  • Cooking Club
And that's just a few of the many clubs that RN&N offers — the group has something for just about everyone in Redding! Stay until the end of the Open House for a chance to win a prize during a raffle drawing — many local businesses have generously donated items.
This is a chance to learn more about Redding and make friendly connections with your neighbors -- and an opportunity to visit your award-winning local Library (and while you're here, check out a book or get a Library card!). Registration is recommended, but not required for this Drop In! All ages welcome. About Our Co-Sponsor Redding Neighbors & Newcomers (RN&N) is a social organization established to help new and long-time residents of Redding make connections with other Reddingites through great events and interest groups. The club's goal is to introduce new members to the social, cultural, and civic aspects of the town of Redding and the surrounding area. While primarily a social club, RN&N makes charitable donations and many members volunteer in the local community.
