Mark Twain Library’s Stone’s Throw series highlights the very best our area has to offer. We’ll meet up at the destinations, and participate in FREE specially arranged, small group tours.

GRACE FARMS
LOCATION: 365 Lukes Wood Road, New Canaan, CT
ARRIVAL TIME: 10:15 a.m.
GATHERING SPOT: The Welcome Center in the West Barn
TOUR DURATION: Approximately 30 minutes, plus additional time to explore the grounds or grab a quick bite at the café.

Explore the award-winning River building at Grace Farms, a humanitarian center operated by the non-profit Grace Farms Foundation.
Our tour guide will take us on an orientation tour through this unique and sinuous structure, located on a natural landscape of 80+ acres. We will learn about how the spaces are designed to foster and encourage each element of the organization’s mission, which encourages visitors to explore nature, encounter the arts, pursue justice, foster community and explore faith.
After the tour, participants are encouraged to walk the grounds along mile-long pathways (please limit to groups of 8 people at a time, so wildlife is not disturbed). Small groups are also welcome to grab a snack at the Commons, a small café at the site, or head to New Canaan for a heartier lunch!
