Beating Osteoporosis with Targeted Nutrition and Exercise

Learn how to increase your odds against osteoporosis, the most prevalent metabolic bone disease in the United States.

This educational session will be presented by three RVNAhealth professionals: Outpatient Practice Manager Dr. Kate Campbell,  Registered Dietitian Monica Marcello and Physical Therapist Andrea deLange.

Dr. Kate Campbell will discuss the key types of exercises to optimize bone health and Monica Marcello will highlight how food, nutrition, and supplements can help prevent and improve osteoporosis.  Andrea deLange will demonstrate a series of exercises to target osteoporosis treatment and prevention.

This is a hybrid program that will take place both live at the Library, and virtually over Zoom.

Our Presenters

Dr. KateCampbell, RVNAhealth’s Outpatient Practice Manager, focuses on sports injury therapy, prevention education and programming, where she applies a comprehensive approach to healing. A triathlete and accomplished life-long athlete, Campbell believes fervently in injury-prevention education.

Monica Marcello, MS, RD is RVNAhealth’s registered dietitian and nutrition educator who promotes holistic health, longevity, and quality of life. Monica’s areas of expertise include disease prevention and treatment for many chronic and acute conditions.

Andrea deLange is an experienced Physical Therapist and certified LSVT BIG practitioner with a long history of working with the outpatient orthopedic and neurological population. She possesses a strong background in the treatment of spine, extremity injuries and pain, as well as neurological impairment, with a focus on helping people with Parkinson’s disease.
