HomeBlooming Books: Redding Garden Club Speaks Volumes for Spring!

Wednesday, April 23

6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Redding Garden Club is bringing stories to life — one bloom at a time! Join us for the Garden Club’s spring “Blooming Books” Open House at the Mark Twain Library, where flowers and fiction collide in the most creative way.

New this year: Everyone in the Redding community is invited to participate! Whether you’re a seasoned florist or just love a good book, we encourage you to design a floral arrangement inspired by a favorite story and display it at the Library. Let your imagination take root!

Past designs have included an underwater arrangement with a fishhook for The Old Man and the Sea, a winding yellow brick road for The Wizard of Oz, a pig and spider duo for Charlotte’s Web, and a cascading urn of blooms for The Goblet of Fire.

Want to cultivate your own literary bouquet? Sign up here  by April 16th, and don’t forget to display your book alongside your floral creation. Browse around, nibble some of the Club’s fabulous (and locally famous) homemade goodies, and sip some refreshments. Get inspired and meet the talented members of the Garden Club — let’s watch stories blossom!

This drop-in event is open to everyone. The floral arrangements will be on display at the Library for one week after the Open House, until April 30th, and more information can be found on the sign up link.
