Part III: LGBTQ+ Beyond the Letters with Cadence Pentheny, Coordinator of Community & Corporate Learning, Triangle Community Center

In this foundational and interactive training session, Cadence Pentheny of the Triangle Community Center engages participants in a thorough overview of the LGBTQ+ community. From terminology and definitions to rethinking historical and traditional assumptions about gender and sexuality, this session aims to build more inclusive and affirming practices for allies and LGBTQ+ folks alike.

Our Facilitator

Cadence Pentheny (they/them) is the Community Education Manager at the Triangle Community Center, Fairfield County’s leading provider of programming and resources to nurture growth and connection within the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.

 

 

This discussion is part of the Conversations Series, created in partnership by the Redding League of Women Voters and the Mark Twain Library. This award-winning series offers opportunities to continue and expand conversations on race, justice and democracy. Community members can exchange ideas, hear differing perspectives and talk about our ever-evolving democracy.
