Join us for a new Open Forum focused on cyber safety and everyday digital confidence with our Director of Technology George Avidon. This program, held on the fourth Wednesday of every month, is designed for patrons who have questions about suspicious emails, online scams, device security, social media concerns, pop-up warnings, passwords, privacy, and other common cyber safety issues.
Technology is a part of daily life, but it can sometimes feel confusing, overwhelming, or even risky. Seemingly harmless clicks, advertisements, or messages can sometimes lead to technical problems, privacy concerns, or financial fraud. The good news is that a few simple habits and a better understanding of how our devices and online accounts work can make a meaningful difference.
This program offers a welcoming space for patrons to ask questions and share recent experiences. Learn how to recognize when something online seems suspicious, when something is clearly wrong and what steps to take next.
The Library’s goal is to help community members feel more informed, more secure, and more comfortable navigating today’s digital world. Bring questions, your concerns, and your curiosity. Together, we can build safer and more confident digital habits.
