CANCELED

Join us for an evening with author James Lomuscio as he discusses the newly released edition of Village of the Dammed: The Fight for Open Space and the Flooding of a Connecticut Town. This compelling work chronicles the rise and eventual destruction of Valley Forge—a once-vibrant iron and steel manufacturing town just south of Redding that was seized by eminent domain and ultimately flooded to create a reservoir. The stone walls, foundations, and roads of this once-thriving town now rest below the surface of the Saugatuck Reservoir. Lomuscio’s thorough investigation offers a powerful reminder of the importance of safeguarding our natural and historical resources.

A book signing will follow the discussion.
