Join us to celebrate the seasons!

Delve more deeply into nature, ecology and wildlife with a book club focusing on science, conservation and natural history. Whether you’re an avid birder, a devoted gardener or an enthusiastic weekend hiker, you’ll expand your understanding of the world around us while also meeting folks who share a devotion to our planet!

The Nature Book Club is moderated by Marjorie Derven, and Stacey Vilmont.

This bookclub will meet for four sessions on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm at New Pond Farm Education Center, 101 Marchant Road, Redding.

Books will be available to borrow at the Mark Twain Library. Space is limited, so please register early!

January 27, 2027 – The Sound of a Snail Eating by Elizabeth Tove Bailey
March 31, 2027 – Bringing Nature Home by Doug Tallamy
May 26, 2027 – Where the Deer and the Antelope Play by Nick Offerman
