Join us for a powerful evening of remembrance as we reflect on the events of September 11, 2001, through the eyes of those who witnessed history firsthand 25 years ago.

The program will feature rare original footage captured by documentarian John Maher, a longtime Redding resident who was on assignment in the days following the attack.  His film, At Zero, offers a deeply compelling look at New York City during one of our nation’s most difficult moments and shows how individuals were processing the attack in the days following September 11.

The evening will also include a film about Redding’s Charles Moretz, entitled Art of Remembrance, a John Maher documentary that focuses on Moretz’s captivation with the architectural beauty of the towers, which led him to create striking images that were permanently installed in Windows on the World, a restaurant that was located on the 106th and 107th floors of the North Tower.

Together, these extraordinary films offer an opportunity to honor those who were lost, as well as the courage of first responders and survivors.

After the formal program, we will open the conversation to the audience, offering a chance for our neighbors to talk about how the day impacted their own lives.

Please Note: This program is intended for ages 10 and up. Sensitive memories will be shared and parental discretion is advised.
