Give yourself the gift of CALM. Join Jackie DeLise for a complementary and nourishing Meditation and Mindfulness class, as she guides you on the healing path to integrating breath awareness and body relaxation practices. These are simple, easy, everyday time-honored techniques to enhance your overall physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health well being.
Learn how to tap into your inner reservoir or tranquility, through Jackie’s signature style of teaching – The Art of Calm – to quiet the mind, release stressand restore balance to your overworked nervous system.
In addition, Jackie will lead a Mindfulness writing inquiry exercise, with gentle prompts to awaken your senses, and then facilitate an exploratory communications circle of conversation for optional sharing.
 
Come as you are. All are welcome. No experience necessary.

WEATHER PERMITTING THIS PROGRAM WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE LIBRARY’S LOGGIA. In case of inclement weather, it will be moved to the Upstairs Meeting Room.

About Our Instructor:

Jackie DeLise is a wellness educator and author specializing in preventative practices that cultivate optimal physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental health. Through her signature approach, The Art of Calm – Ancient Wisdom for Modern Lifestyles, Jackie guides individuals and organizations in Meditation and Mindfulness, Stress Management, Positive Psychology, the Science of Happiness, and building Resilience and Hope.

A Certified Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher and Certified Mindfulness@Work Teacher for Corporate Calm, Jackie also serves as Resident Chaplain in Spiritual Care at Northwell Health (Nuvance Health/Norwalk Hospital) and is a Certified Connecticut POST Stress Management Teacher for law enforcement. She co-produces and hosts the CALM wellness podcast for Silver Hill Radio at Silver Hill Hospital, contributes on-air and online to the Mental Health TV Network, and is the author of The Art of Calm and Creating a Culture of Presence & Belonging.
