Begin Gallery Week with an evening of insight and conversation featuring our distinguished jurors, Lily de Jongh Downing and Tricia Wright. Enjoy a glass of wine while learning about their curatorial approach, what makes a piece stand out, and how selections and awards are made in this year’s juried exhibition.

About the Jurors:

Lily de Jongh Downing is a partner in Downing Yudain LLC, an art advisory and dealership specializing in American and European art from the 18th through 20th centuries. Formerly director of the Gerald Peters Gallery in New York, she curated major exhibitions on artists such as Georgia O’Keeffe and Max Weber and now operates The Barn @ Downing Yudain in Stamford, CT. She also serves as trustee of the Wadsworth Atheneum, the Fleming Museum, and as an advisory trustee of the Museum of American Impressionism.

Tricia Wright, Juror of Awards, is a British-born artist dividing her time between Connecticut and southwest Ireland. Her work appears in public and private collections across the United States, Europe and Africa. She recently presented a traveling solo exhibition, Tricia Wright: The Naturalist, at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts and the Zuckerman Museum of Art, and completed a major public art commission for the New York MTA. A seasoned art educator and writer, she has contributed to numerous art publications, including American Art & Artists (Harper Collins/Smithsonian).

Following our 53rd Annual Art Show Preview Party, join us for an inspiring week of intimate gatherings designed to celebrate art, spark conversation, and connect our community. Each event supports the ongoing success of our juried exhibition — and offers a unique way to experience the gallery.
