The Connecticut Nutmeg Book Award invites students to read quality literature and to choose their favorite from a list of nominated titles. The “Nutmeg Nominees” are announced on May 1st. The following April, children statewide cast votes to select one Nutmeg Book Award winner in different age divisions. The winners are announced mid-May.

The Nutmeg Nominees are great reads, especially over the summer! Teachers and librarians commonly discuss and share them throughout the school year.
