This latest book art exhibit is on display in the Library’s rotunda from July 1 to September 14, 2026.

What if found natural objects were used to make books bound

using traditional binding methods like

signature sewing, or coptic stitching, or barrel binding,

or accordion binding,

OR

the objects were used to make cyanotype printed, or

eco-printed pages that were then bound,

OR

they were combined using a non-traditional method of bookmaking

like stacking, or cutting and hanging, punching and threading,

weaving and twisting?

Would they still be books?

Emphatically, YES!
