Pudd’nhead Festival 2021
The 8th Annual Pudd’nhead Prize was to be awarded to Amy Schumer on September 25. Unfortunately, Amy had emergency surgery and was unable to attend. While we were obviously disappointed, the most important thing is her health – and we are happy that all went well.
Fortunately, a suitable guest of honor came to accept the spoon in her behalf! Television/film star Chris Meloni – known best as Elliot Stabler on Law and Order:SVU and the new spin-off Law and Order:Organized Crime – stepped in, and stepped up.
He humbly – and hilariously! – accepted the Pudd’nhead Spoon on Amy’s behalf AND received the library’s Wit and Wisdom Award, presented to “Out Of The Box” thinkers, in the spirit of Mark Twain.
