Summer is an exciting time at the Mark Twain Library!!

Signup for MTL’s online summer reading program with your free READsquared account! Log your reading; elementary school children can earn a summer reading prize while teens and adults can enter weekly raffles!

The Mark Twain Library collaborates with the Redding Public Schools to ensure that all students in grades K-12 can find the books they need to read all summer long. You can find links to the RES, JRMS and JBHS summer requirements on our MTL Summer Reading and Activities page.

We also have summer activities for children of all ages, teens, and adults! Join a book club (adults), sing along at a story time (children), or hike with a flashlight around Topstone Pond (teens).

(aka RES) Students – Grades K-5

For RES students, this summer you can choose the number of books you want to read. The number of books YOU choose will be YOUR goal! Read, or listen to, any type of book. Once you’ve finished your book, log it in READsquared.
