How to Renew Items Online
All Mark Twain Library items – and any items borrowed from other Bibliomation libraries – may now be renewed online:
- Go to your online account -or- from MTL home page, click “Check your Account” under “Your Library Account”.
- Login using your Library Card Number/Username and PIN Number/Password.
- Click on “Items Checked out” (to the right of Account Summary) to see the items you have borrowed from the Mark Twain Library and other Bibliomation libraries.
- Check the items you would like to renew and click “Renew Selected Items”.
Please note:
- Renewals Left is listed in 4th column from the right.
- New MTL items may be renewed once. All other MTL library items may be renewed twice.
- MTL DVDs marked “new” cannot be renewed; other MTL movies may be renewed once.
- If a request has been placed on an item you have borrowed, you will not be able to renew that item. A message will appear when you try to renew the item if this is the case.
If you have a total of more than $10 of accrued fines on your account, you will not be able to renew items online.
If you are signed up to receive email notices, the Library will send you “Courtesy Reminders” at least 3 days before your library items are due. You can reply to a Courtesy Reminder and a staff member will assist you.
How to Request Items Online
Mark Twain Library card holders have access to the 2,500,000 books, movies and CDs in the Bibliomation library consortium.
To request an item:
- Go to our library catalog to search for the item. This will search items available within our library.
- If you prefer to search ALL the libraries within our network click here, or in the “Library” drop down menu scroll to the top and select “Bibliomation.”
- When the item is found, click “request item”
- You will be prompted to login to your account. Enter your username and PIN number/password then click “Log In.”
- On the Request Item page: Verify the details for your hold request and then click “submit.“
Requests may be placed for all Mark Twain Library items except new DVDs.
You will be contacted when your item is available for pick up.
