Have fun and make friends while cultivating your creativity in our weekly group discussions about art, creativity and so much more! Our facilitated conversations invite participants to consider imaginative and alternative viewpoints about the creative process in a congenial, relaxed Zoom setting. Empower your creativity and feed your brain by joining us in the Creative Collective Discussion Group! This fall, our exploration into the power of creativity continues with the book These Precious Days by legendary author Ann Patchett.   Copies of the book will be available to checkout at the Library's front desk and both the ebook and audiobook are available to downloaded from Hoopla. Please read the book's introduction and chapter 1 for the first meeting. The Creative Collective meets weekly on Tuesdays.  Register once for all eight weekly meetings in this session, September 10 through October 29.

Registration Required Below Release your inner thespian and join the Redding script reading group. Our group is a whole new way to experience a play you never knew you needed. This casual monthly group will meet up to read classic and contemporary plays aloud. Our hope is to foster a collaborative environment and explore all types of theater. Welcome to all who love or are curious about theater — no theater experience is required. Meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month.   Our Facilitators: Liz Correa is a local mom who has missed reading plays. Her theater background includes New York City, regional and local theater.  She was nominated for Best Actress (Escaleno, lead) at the PEPI; Seville, Spain. Escaleno (lead) also won Best Short Film.  Liz graduated with a Masters of Art’s from Cornell University and was a student of Stella Adler Conservatory (Tisch) and Michael Howard Studios.
Eileen O’Brien is a retired award winning drama teacher and director who hails from New Haven. After living in Massachusetts and Florida, Eileen and her husband, Bob have come home to spend their retirement closer to their children and grandchildren in beautiful Connecticut.

Registration Required Below Are you fascinated by rare treasures and unique collections? Do you have a passion for antiques, vintage items, or collectibles of any kind? Randi Hutton, an expert with RZ Connection LLC, an estate services company, takes us on a journey through the fascinating world of collectibles. We will discuss collecting in general, the definition of valuable, and how to identify valuable pieces (you may be surprised). Not everyone is a collector, or even wants the items that they have acquired over the years so Randi will also offer tips on the various ways to sell items, including their pros and cons, and the results to expect. After her talk, there will be a Q&A where Randi will answer general questions. About Our Presenter

Randi Hutton is the founder and driving force behind the RZC. She is a professional organizer, move manager, Realtor, and collectibles advisor. She has helped hundreds of people organize their homes, downsize and relocate.

Randi is a member of The Keys Guild, a nationwide Collectibles Advisory Group and a member of the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals (NAPO), a national organization dedicated to the field of organizing. Within NAPO, she has achieved Golden Circle status, an elite designation reserved for the most experienced organizers. She is also a member of the National Association of Realtors,  National Association of Senior Move Managers and Real Estate Staging Association.
