Have fun and make friends while cultivating your creativity in our weekly group discussions about art, creativity and so much more! Our facilitated conversations invite participants to consider imaginative and alternative viewpoints about the creative process in a congenial, relaxed Zoom setting. Empower your creativity and feed your brain by joining us in the Creative Collective Discussion Group! This fall, our exploration into the power of creativity continues with the book These Precious Days by legendary author Ann Patchett.   Copies of the book will be available to checkout at the Library's front desk and both the ebook and audiobook are available to downloaded from Hoopla. Please read the book's introduction and chapter 1 for the first meeting. The Creative Collective meets weekly on Tuesdays.  Register once for all eight weekly meetings in this session, September 10 through October 29.

4th, 5th, and 6th graders are invited to attend our monthly book discussion group for younger readers on October 15th, to browse through new books, snack on cookies and chips, and talk about the books you’ve read recently. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

Please register below to receive a Zoom meeting link the day of the program. Let's face it, the college application process can sound complicated even on a good day! In this program, Priyanka Shingala of Let's Talk College, LLC will provide an updated overview of the process and cover the exact steps you should take to stay on track, and even get ahead. This program is recommended for current 9th-11th graders and their parents. 
Topics include, but are not limited, to: 
      • Components of the College Applications Process
      • The University Search & College Tours: What to Look for & Questions to Ask
      • Personal statements/supplemental essays/interviews: An Overview
      • Your priorities and a timeline of 9-12th grades; and
      • Helpful resources to guide you through the process.
Priyanka has been working in the test prep industry for 11 years and started her own business Let’s Talk College, LLC in 2018.  Her goal is to ensure that families have the information they need to take to organize their own college applications process.
