Get the knowledge and training you need to potentially save a person’s life during an opioid overdose emergency.

Learn the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, how to assess a person’s level of responsiveness, and if necessary, how to deliver a life-saving dose of Naloxone (Narcan), a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

This session will be led by Ellie Hayden, a community outreach worker with Apex Community Care in Danbury.
About Our Presenter
Ellie Hayden is an outreach worker with Apex Community Care in Danbury. She trains people about the proper use of Narcan and distributes this life-saving medication throughout the community. Ellie connects people experiencing mental and physical health problems with services such as prevention, medical, behavioral or case management.
Apex Community Care offers essential services to individuals facing challenges such as HIV/AIDS, mental health issues, and substance use disorders. The organization also extends support to their families and loved ones while actively fostering education and prevention within the community.
