Hiking in Redding’s 2000+ acres of beautiful open space and in surrounding communities provides benefits for all:

  •  Enjoy memorable outings with family and friends.
  • Promote health through outdoor exercise.
  • Create community connections.
  • Access the restorative power of nature.

The Redding Community Hiking Club will be led by Redding Land Trust Trail Tenders who maintain Redding Land Trust preserved properties, and other community members who love the outdoors.

NOTE: All are welcome to join, but it is essential to register before attending due to limited parking at many sites and for group safety.

All hikes are classified by difficulty level.  We plan to have hikes at varying levels of challenge.

EASY: Mainly level surfaces with limited small inclines.

MODERATE: Some elevation changes with a few steep sections.

DIFFICULT: Hiking experience recommended. Frequent elevation changes with many steep sections.

All hikers assume full responsibility for their personal safety and agree to hold harmless all hike organizers for this community event.
